Tuntum, the East Midlands based housing association, have selected Lawrence & Pierce to redesign and build their website.

Since agency life is all about assisting our clients, it’s comforting to be working with a great local company whose name roughly translates as “working together”.

At this moment we’re finalising the functionality and designing the various page layouts for their new site – these have been extremely well received by the management team at one of Tuntum’s management away days, so we’re expecting to start the build over the next few weeks. We’ll keep you posted as to when this goes ‘live’ and becomes another great edition to the DiVersity Group’s family of websites.

These new projects come out of the long-term relationship between the two companies, which began when L&P created and managed the launch for Extra’s first motorway service area 18 years ago. The work continued as Extra grew to a major provider and we were proud to launch their latest and largest service area at Beaconsfield. Extra’s services are renowned for the quality and value of their on-site services which include M&S, Starbucks, MacDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, WH Smith and Shell.

They sought out L&Pafter seeing our work for demanding corporate clothing designers and suppliers Incorporatewear. As an interior design company committed to raising the expectations of UK’s building industry, it was satisfying to be able to create a website concept that was exactly what they were looking for first time. And exciting to work with them to develop their highly personal online statement.

Following the success of ‘Santa Slalom’ in previous years for the group, we were asked to create another seasonal greeting and interactive game to support First’s chosen charity Save the Children. Bowling elves knocking down tenpin penguins provide novel e-cards for staff and customers, and First can donate the money saved on Christmas cards to the charity. This year their donation will be £10,000.00.

Having created “…the best site of its kind in the market” for Sternfenster, the leading UK double glazing fabricator, we saw an opportunity for the client to maximise his installer customers’ marketing by offering a white label site based on the new design www.sternfenster.com

The innovative new site conveyed the vast product range in a simple, logical format which, with one of the most comprehensive ranges in the market, provided a big challenge for the functionality of the site. To overcome this, we created three sub-navigation levels so that similar products could be grouped together to aid familiarisation and usability.

It met its objectives so well that we’re now in the process of rolling out the web platform to Sternfenster’s customer’s products. These individual companies are able to have a cost-effective, highly functional website which promotes a wide range of doors, windows and conservatories to their prospective clients.

The first of these sites www.crescentwindows.co.uk has proved so popular that throughout the month of October it saw a 134% increase in traffic to the site from the previous month.

With more sites to launch over the next few months, we’re definitely on a roll!

Nottingham marketing consultancy DiVersity has brought Lawrence & Pierce, one of the region’s longest established design agencies, into its stable of services. The new combination significantly enhances the creative marketing strength within the East Midlands.

The deal follows the move of Lawrence & Pierce founder Martin Lord to DiVersity as Creative Director. In February, DiVersity set up its Digital Division with the appointment of Jamie Warnock, former digital designer from Lawrence & Pierce, and the combined creative experience of Martin and Jamie has already resulted in significant project wins for the expanded DiVersity team of 28 staff.

DiVersity Managing Director Di Slaney said: “We’ve always really admired the creative ability of Lawrence & Pierce and thought that the partnering of Martin and his team with our own marketing and business consultancy would be the dream ticket for a powerful, full service agency offer.

“Both businesses have dealt with big commercial brands at a national and international level, along with work for many regional and local organisations. Together we have a fantastic integrated service to offer all our clients, along with back-office functions such as call centre response and CRM data management to support any forward-facing communication campaign.

“We look forward to getting to grips with project work for existing Lawrence & Pierce clients over the next few weeks, and offer our assurance of continuity of service at all levels. We hope that it will be pretty much business as usual for everyone, but with the promise of extra resource and increased focus where needed. Our expanded team has an added spring in its step at the prospect of meeting new clients and exploring new markets, and that energy has got to be good for everybody’s business!”

Martin Lord comments: “The potential for a larger integrated regional agency is fantastic, and we’ve already got very positive synergy between our dual creative and marketing approaches to client briefs. Our clients definitely get the best of both worlds – a creative business that can do all the behind the scenes implementation of a project, and a marketing business that can provide exciting and inspiring creative work. And at this particular time, it’s great to be part of an established business that has the ambition, hunger and resources to deliver for the future.”

Current projects include creating a new website for pharmaceutical giant Alliance Healthcare and developing the branding for Nottingham City Tram Phase 2 franchise bid. DiVersity has also been shortlisted as finalists in 6 categories of the 2010 RAR Awards, which recognise excellence in marketing companies by asking clients to competitively rate their suppliers on a number of service issues.
